The story behind the story...

Bradford Lawshé, President of Hollywood's prestigious Esseness Studios, wanders the lot every day before dawn. He usually lingers on the catwalk above the Mabel Normand Theatre to have a "chat" with the ghost of 20's movie mogul, Henry Osterberg.

Lawshé knows in that Osterberg’s ghost most likely is not the one giving him advice on his next picture...it's really the logical side of his brain trying convince himself that the astronomical budget isn't really that much money. But Osterberg’s "advice" always has been spot on, so why mess with success?

Today is different, however. Bradford takes a detour on his way to the catwalk and a the ringing sound of a gunshot marks the beginning of the new future of Esseness.
